Whiplash Associated Disorders - A Kinesiologist’s Approach -
This workshop is designed for Kinesiologists and exercise therapists who treat clients with Whiplash Associated Disorders (WAD). Topics covered include a review and critique of key literature, exploring evidence to support exercise therapy for the treatment of WAD. A deeper understanding of WAD will be gained through an in-depth review of cervical anatomy, mechanism of injury, pathoanatomical diagnosis, and timelines for healing. Finally, a practical component will introduce basic assessment of cervical function, and present cervical stabilization exercises, progressions, and stretches to enhance the therapist’s current approach to treatment.
