Corrective Exercise Training for Injury Management and Economy of Movement

with Tara Keller

Corrective exercise training must start with identifying faulty joint mechanics and movement patterns and follow with motor retraining programs that will guarantee client outcomes and performance measures while preventing further injury. In this workshop, you will learn to address the most common muscle imbalances through a full compliment of exercises proven to increase joint stability for the ankles, knees, hips, pelvis, spine and shoulders. Strategies for advancing movement and performance measures will be included.

What you will learn in this course:

During this 1-day workshop, participants will be provided hands-on training in the provision of corrective exercises in response to the common muscle imbalances discussed in “Level I: Introduction to Muscle Imbalance Testing & Functional Movement Pattern Assessment”.  In this interactive session, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of kinetic ordering and the training principles necessary to optimize neuromuscular coordination and address movement deficiencies.  Advanced strategies that effect balance and proprioceptive response and the progression toward coordinated movement patterns that involve multi-planar movement will be included.
