During this 1-day workshop, participants will learn the following:

 

- Successful networking strategies within the post-rehabilitation industry
- Portfolio generation, including the creation of an introductory letter to health practitioners
- Scope of practice for Kinesiologists and trainers who wish to work in post-rehab service provision
- How to overcome the current barriers in the health industry and generate and maintain a profitable and prosperous business in delivering post-rehab services

INSTRUCTOR: Tara Keller, Hons. B.Sc. (KIN), RK, MES

 

Tara Keller obtained her Kinesiology degree from the University of Waterloo in Ontario. She was a graduate of the Co-operative program and focused her studies in neuromuscular retraining, motor learning and movement disorders. Tara is a Registered Kinesiologist and is certified as a Medical Exercise Specialist through the American Academy of Health, Fitness & Rehab Professionals (AAHFRP).

 

Tara has provided education to Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists, Massage Therapists, Pilates Instructors, Coaches and Personal Trainers throughout Canada on postural and motor retraining, flexibility training and strength conditioning techniques.

 

Tara is the founder of Essential Kinetics, based in Vancouver. Essential Kinetics provides safe and effective post rehab programs for clients with cardiovascular, neurological and musculoskeletal disorders. Her clientele spans in age from youth to the older adult and includes the treatment of non-athletes, semi-professional and professional athletes.

 

Tara has been an education provider to the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists in both B.C. and Alberta since 1998.
