Triathlon Injuries with James Greenwood

 The focus of this presentation is on the endurance athlete. James will help participants gain a better understanding of the injuries that affect this athletic population the most, and will provide specific strategies to correct problematic areas, minimizing the potential for pathologies to occur.

 

 

Balance and Proprioception Training with Paul Turner

10:45 am to 12:15 pm - Saturday, March 10, 2007

 

 Balance, stability and proprioception training have become a priority in rehabilitation and fitness, and have been found to benefit athletes and aging populations alike. This presentation will focus on the anatomy and physiology of balance.  Paul will review and compare balance equipment and introduce exercises useful for anyone on the continuum of rehabilitation to elite athlete.

 

 

Building a Private Practice in Post-Rehabilitation with Tara Keller

1:15 pm to 2:45 pm – Saturday, March 10, 2007

 

The need for Post-Rehab services is increasingly in demand as our population ages and the general public pursues fitness as a means of injury prevention and self-managed health care.  This session will focus on the tools and business processes required to help you develop a private practice and initiate increased referral sources from the medical community.

 

 

Inflammation - An Obstacle in Healing with Dr. Jill Scott

3:00 pm to 4:30 pm – Saturday, March 10, 2007

 

This presentation will cover one of the most common reasons that a patient doesn’t heal: inflammation.  We will look at why some patients’ inflammation prevents healing, and what can be done about it.
